How long have you been telling yourself you’ll start “soon”?
Next week. Next month. After the holiday. After you’ve lost a bit of weight first, or built up some fitness, or figured out what a burpee actually is.
Here’s the truth nobody tells you: soon has a habit of turning into never. And the thing that’s actually stopping you probably isn’t your fitness. It’s the fear of walking into a room full of people who look like they know exactly what they’re doing, while you stand there hoping nobody notices you don’t.
We built Couch to CrossFit — our beginner course here at 732 CrossFit in Barwell — because that fear is the single biggest reason people never try CrossFit at all. And it’s also the easiest one to fix.
You do not need to get fit before joining
This is the part people struggle to believe, so we’ll say it plainly: you do not need to arrive fit. That’s not the deal. That’s literally what the course is for.
You don’t need to know the difference between a clean and a snatch. You don’t need to have touched a barbell. You don’t need six weeks of “prep” beforehand to make sure you don’t embarrass yourself. Turning up as a complete beginner is not just allowed here — it’s the entire point.
Over 4 weeks, one session a week, we teach you the movements from the ground up, explain how everything actually works, and build your fitness and your confidence at the same time. By the end, you’re not guessing your way through a class. You know what you’re doing.
You won’t be the only one who’s nervous
If you’re picturing yourself as the least fit person in the room, stop — because that room doesn’t really exist the way you think it does.
Across our last 9 Couch to CrossFit courses, more than 120 people have walked through our doors in Barwell with little or no experience. Some were already reasonably active. Some hadn’t trained in years. A lot of them were nervous as hell right up until the first session started. They all had exactly one thing in common: they decided to start anyway.
Nobody in a Couch to CrossFit class is judging you for being new. Everyone in it is new. That’s the whole format.
What the 4 weeks actually looks like
Simple, on purpose. 4 weeks. 1 session a week. Everything taught from scratch, at a pace built for people who’ve never set foot in a CrossFit gym before. By the end of it, you can walk into a regular class knowing what you’re doing, not just hoping you’ll keep up.
£65 for the full course. Starting September 3rd, 7:30pm, right here at 732 CrossFit in Barwell.
Stop waiting for the perfect time
There isn’t one. There wasn’t going to be one next week either, or after the holiday, or once you’d “got a bit fitter first.” The perfect time is a story you tell yourself to put it off a little longer.
120+ people have already started this way. You could be next.
Couch to CrossFit starts September 3rd at 7:30pm. £65 for 4 weeks.
