If you’re looking for a gym in Hinckley, there are plenty of options.
And realistically, there isn’t one type of gym that’s right for everyone.
Some people love putting their headphones in, training by themselves and following their own programme. If you know what you’re doing and you’re consistent with it, great.
But for a lot of people, that’s exactly where things start to fall apart.
You join a gym, go four times in the first week, three times the next, life gets busy and suddenly you realise you’ve been paying for a membership you haven’t used for two months.
So when you’re choosing a gym, I think there’s a better question than just “How much does it cost?”
What’s actually going to get you through the door consistently?
Having a plan makes a massive difference
At 732 CrossFit, our classes are coached from start to finish.
You come in, we’ll take you through the warm-up, you’ll normally have some strength or skill work, then your workout and a cooldown.
You don’t need to plan anything beforehand or walk around wondering what exercise you’re going to do next.
You just need to turn up.
And importantly, you don’t need to already be fit to do that.
We have people join us who haven’t trained for years alongside people who have trained most of their lives.
Some people can’t do a pull-up. Some have old injuries or movements they struggle with. Some are just nervous because they’ve never stepped foot in a CrossFit gym before.
That’s completely normal.
We just change the workout to suit the person in front of us.
Someone might do pull-ups while someone else does ring rows. Someone might run while someone else uses the bike. Someone might lift 100kg while someone else uses an empty barbell.
You’re still training together. You just don’t all need to do exactly the same thing.
There’s more to it than PBs
Obviously we love seeing someone get their first pull-up, lift a weight they’ve never lifted before or smash their HYROX time.
But that’s not the only reason we’re training.
We want our members getting stronger, improving their fitness, maintaining muscle and bone health and generally building bodies that allow them to keep doing the things they enjoy as they get older.
The flashy stuff is great.
Being fit, strong and capable in 10, 20 or 30 years is probably more important.

Finding a gym near Hinckley
We’re based in Barwell, around 10 minutes from Hinckley town centre.
We offer CrossFit, HYROX, Olympic weightlifting and open gym.
But whether you come to us or choose somewhere else, I’d look beyond just the monthly price.
Ask yourself whether you’re actually going to enjoy going there. Whether you’ll know what to do when you arrive. Whether you’ll get some help when you need it.
And ultimately, whether you can see yourself still going in a year’s time.
Because a £25 gym membership you never use isn’t better value than a more expensive membership you use three times every week.
